All of our Library's online resources use your MPFT email address to access them. This page has helpful information on how to log in to these resources and how to get help or training if you need it.

If you don't have an MPFT email address please contact the library team, who will be able to give you a username and password to use instead: library@mpft.nhs.uk

All MPFT staff and placement students with an email address ending @mpft.nhs.uk are automatically able to log in to access online eBooks, databases and journals from MPFT Library and Knowledge Services. The Journals and Databases page has more details on what resources are available. Some students on placements or staff from other organisations working in partnership with MPFT are also eligible and can contact the library team to arrange access.

If you are looking for training on how to use your MPFT email to access these resources, some information is available below. For group or one-to-one training on online resources, please see our Training pages

Here is a short video which you may find helpful:

  3. When asked for your instituion name, search for 'Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust', and select it from the search results:
'Find your Institution' page of OpenAthens sign in process
  4. You will be taken to the Log in screen for the Trust, which has the logo for the Health Informatics Team in the background. Enter your email address and password.
