Search and browse over 5000 e-books. You can read books marked ‘Available’ straight away. To request a loan; select the e-book that you want and choose 'request'. The library will either approve the loan, buy the e-book, or suggest other options.
To read our e-books, just use your MPFT network login. You might need to select 'Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust' as your organisation. E-mail library@mpft.nhs.uk if you have any problems.
Our library catalogue also has about 250 more e-books not included in the main e-book library. These include:
- Over 100 Oxford handbooks and textbooks. You can read these online with your Trust login but can't download them (unless we've also bought the e-book from a different supplier). The list includes the Oxford Handbooks in Nursing series and Medical Handbooks series, as well as several Oxford textbooks. You can also find these books (along with others we don't have access to) at the Oxford Academic website.
- Over 130 e-books from a different supplier (Kortext). You can read these online or download them to read in the Kortext app (available for both Android and Apple). You can also find these books at the Kortext website.
You also have access to web-only versions of Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures and Maudsley Prescribing Guidelines (for downloadable versions go to Royal Marsden or Maudsley Prescribing Guidelines).
If you can't find the e-book you want, please e-mail library@mpft.nhs.uk and let us know what you're looking for.
